Summer Break is Over - Part 2

After a night of swimming, a few snacks, and some not so comfortable beds, we started day two. First stop The Arch. This view is standing directly underneath looking up.
A little history. Can we count this as school if we aren't studying American History this year?

View from the river.

All six of us crammed into the tram (we couldn't get back far enough to get everyone in the picture). They are made to hold five, but they let us all go together! We felt like a little can of sardines.

View of the Missouri side of the river.

View of the Illinois side.

Frank and Theron peering out the viewing windows.

Then we made our way over to the river boats and had lunch at their cafe. Then we boarded the Tom Sawyer and took a cruise.

It was very educational. We learned the history of several of the buildings and the bridges. It was fun too, even Tyler enjoyed it.

It was a fun trip. We really enjoying learning a little about the town. We may be going back in about three months!

Wow it looks like you guys had a blast. ...and, yes, I would count the hours towards history.
Thanks for sharing your trip with us. We may have to plan a trip up that direction ourselves.
