The last couple of weeks we have been very busy trying to get all of our adoption paperwork done. Right now we are waiting on a document from the US immigration, I-797C. The rest of our documents are at two Chinese consulates getting authenticated (we pray).

We went here three days last week. We were having problems with one of our documents. I guess the third time is the charm! I guess Tyler is doing the happy dance that we don't have to come back again the next day.

This is in the courtyard outside the Secretary of State office building.

We made our third trip here because our marriage license was rejected by the Chinese consulate in Houston. They did not like the way it was certified by Oklahoma and OK would not certify the way they wanted without it being signed by a different person.

Once we got the new marriage licenses we were off here, for the second time. OK certified the new documents and didn't even charge us again. Theron tried to get us all arrested when he tried to enter the capitol building with his pocket knives.

We also spent one day driving to Arkansas for fingerprinting. So in the last week and a half we have driven around three states and fed-x'd documents to consulates in Houston (2X) and Chicago. We have one more document to authenticate and then we can send it all to China.

Sorry, Sue, this is too funny.
You should have asked ME to authenticate, I was there. And surely anyone would take MY word!
