I had a little fun with Tyler this year. He has been asking for presents for months. He kept changing what he wanted. I kept telling him to pick one. So, I finally told him I already had his gift so he would stop asking for everything. I also told him he was only getting one gift. First we had cupcakes. He loved all his big candles on his cupcake!
Then, we had his "one" present sitting on the table. He was so happy and excited! He could not wait to open this much anticipated gift!
Poor little man! He was clearly disappointed when it was PJs. He didn't complain at all though. He said "thanks". We asked if it was a good birthday and he said "yes". I asked if that was what he wanted and he said "no". So I told him to come into the living room.
We had hidden seven more gifts (eight in all) and we each brought them out one at a time. He got so excited each time the next one of us brought out a gift!
I was so proud of him for not complaining. He got several of the things he had asked for.
